TESTIMONIALS
INDUSTRY SUPPORT FOR ‘MAXIMIZING YOUR TRAINING & TEACHING IMPACT’ ACCREDITED SHORT COURSE:
Oct 2010 - Dear Laurie
I am very happy to hear you have received accreditation for your MTTI course. I attended your course in Jun this year and although I have been a TAFE teacher for some 10years and a workplace trainer in industry for 15years prior to TAFE I found your workshop to be inspirational and highly motivating.
I have been to many different professional development workshops and can suggest that I got the most benefit from your MTTI workshop. The very practical nature of your workshop, and the wonderful resources made it easy to apply what I had learned to the classroom. I have always understood how my participants learn but never before had the specific techniques demonstrated and discussed as you do in your MTTI workshop.
We are currently ‘unpacking’ the new TAE10 in relation to TAE40110 and I personally feel the very practical nature of your MTTI workshop fills a hole that still exists for enterprise trainers and TAFE staff alike.
Good luck in your endeavours.

I am writing to support your case to have the MTTI course classified as a nationally recognised elective of the Certificate IV TAE qualification. I found the MTTI course content to be of extremely high quality with excellent practical solutions for trainers to implement in their training sessions.
When I completed my Certificate IV TAA, I found the content of the subjects to be useful for providing structure to training and assessment processes. However, the need to keep adult learners engaged in a topic was not fully addressed in the training delivery subjects. This is where I firmly believe the MTTI course can fill the gap. MTTI provides two full days of practical skills for trainers to take away and use immediately to revise their training sessions and consider better ways to engage their participants.
As a current student studying a diploma course within the TAFE system, I have found some of the teachers using very conventional teaching methods. This has caused me to lose my interest in the content and become less engaged. I believe the TAFE teachers could learn from what MTTI has to offer.
I have implemented a number of the techniques learnt from MTTI in my short courses and have noticed the immediate improvement. The MTTI course has also taught me to talk less and learn more from the experienced participants in the training room. The MTTI course is very relevant for all trainers and I believe it should be part of the core subjects in the TAE qualification, rather than an elective. I look forward to being able to select this course as an elective when I upgrade my TAA to TAE in the future.
Warm regards,

September 2010 - Hi Laurie,
It is my pleasure to lend support to the endorsement of the MTTI course as an elective for TAE Cert IV.
The MTTI course is a very practical course which I recommend to all my trainers in the Queensland State Emergency Service and also within my own company The Trainers. It relates to the work and vocational outcomes of the TAE Cert IV in providing invaluable stand-and-deliver techniques which are often missing from delivery of other units from with both the TAE and TAA Cert IV qualifications. Additionally, it provides clear insight into learning styles, learner types and the critical differences between left and right brain dominant students. As well as the insights into brain-based reasons why students differ and have unequal outcomes, the course provides practical hands-on methods for combating these differences and providing for more equal outcomes amongst a class (all other things being equal such as socioeconomic factors etc). If you would like further comment please feel free to contact me,
Cheers

10 September 2010To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to lend my support to the program run by Mindworks - "Maximising your Training and Teaching Impact"
Having attended this course whilst working in the role of Staff Development Officer, I am happy to provide information on this course. The aim of my completing this course was to improve confidence and skills relevant to my position as a trainer to staff both new and current within the Department. A lot of our training involves technical information that can be difficult to achieve the transfer of knowledge to trainees.
I gained valuable ideas and practical skills and use these to make training more engaging. I now am able to recognise and adapt more easily the training methods to suit adult learners within my organisation. My courses have improved in their presentation, using some of the methods from the course. This has been proven by the increase in satisfactory feedback received, and from supervisors of trainees once returned to the Centre. They are retaining the information from the courses and this in turn improves customer satisfaction for the Department.
Having completed my Cert IV previously, I would highly recommend this course to be included as an elective unit as it provides innovative and practical ideas for a trainer.
Kind regards,
Sandra Duncan
