Roger Carter is currently a teacher in the School of Business and Information Technology at Southbank Institute of Technology in the area of Human Resources. He has considerable experience as an outdoor educator delivering adventure based programmes to TAFE/secondary students, special education students, youth at risk and work based programmes for the workplace including workers, line managers and senior leaders. For the past 25 years Roger has used games and problem solving group based activities to stimulate the learning environment and energise his groups. Over the years he has learnt that fun and games crosses all hierarchical, cultural and age barriers and is always amazed some of the crazy things people do when given the ‘freedom’ in a safe environment. Roger believes that there’s no such thing as a boring topic – the driest of dry topics can be made fun and interesting if you just open your mind and take a risk or two.
