Sue-Ellen Kusher

Whilst working within the marketing environment Sue-Ellen Kusher had personal responsibility for 120 team members and influence over 800 more. On stage each actor must lead and direct an audience of hundreds or thousands. At public speaking engagements the skill is to motivate and manage a crowd within a matter of minutes; and in the training room the requirement is to transfer knowledge successfully to just a handful of recipients. No matter what the environment the skills are the same – those of Leadership.

Sue-Ellen has a reputation as an energising and thought provoking facilitator. She is renowned for her ability to combine expertise from the world of performing arts along with her commercial and marketing background to create a framework that considers all priorities and challenges.

An essential element to her work is her ability to represent the issues from multiple perspectives. With her highly participative style she brings sensitivity to the situations faced by individuals and fosters a positive learning environment.

Sue-Ellen offers a wealth of energy, experience, enjoyment and education to the training interaction. An extensive career in hospitality, retail, management and adult learning ensures that she knows and values day-to-day realities. Her professional abilities have been regularly sought on the international stage having delivered programs and created distance learning films for the Australian, Asian and Indian markets.

Qualifications

As a professional actor Sue-Ellen studied for many years and is a member of MEAA. Over the past nine years she has operated as a VETEC approved Competency Based Trainer and has been active in both the public and private enterprise environments within Australia and the Asian Region.

Acknowledgments and Achievements

Remarkably Sue-Ellen was the youngest person ever to hold a national position within the hospitality industry at just 23. With a strong customer service history, she has been a business proprietor, an award winning marketing manager for four consecutive years, a professional actor performing on stage, screen and radio, an immensely successful and nationally dominant sales professional and a profitable business consultant. In 1972 she was a member of the Olympic Swimming Selection Squad; in 1979, 1980 and 1982 Sue-Ellen won state and national professional performance competitions sponsored by major retailer Waltons, publisher News Limited and the then O/10 Television Network. She believes that her greatest achievement is the successful transition of her three children from childhood to adulthood. Successful self-employment over the past 13 years also demonstrates, she believes, her commitment to professionalism, reliability and value.
